Origins explores the journey of self-discovery and our enduring, primal connection with nature and love. Starting from chaos to gradually find harmony. The piece gathers choral pieces, centred on the natural world, love and aAection and interventions of soloists' folk songs from diverse regions and a duo of dancers guiding the audience and performers through the journey of disorderly self-realization.
The strength of a song lies in its ability to transcend languages and cultures. By returning to our essence – our origins - both musically and thematically, this project connects art music with traditional folk repertoire by the exploration of surrounding nature and those around us, embodying our deeply rooted human search for connection, harmony and love.
