Though this may not be a true Midsummer night, it is a moment to illuminate the essence of Līgo—the Latvian celebration of the summer solstice. Rooted in traditions that honour fertility, nature, and the sun, Līgo embodies the spirit of joy, renewal, and transformation. Through the poetic intensity of Latvian Midsummer traditions, the project invites you to join its participants in exploring what it means to belong, to reflect and to lean in the quiet strength that resides within and all around us.
